The technical solution on how to collect data efficiently and securely from the smart meters is developed in this work package. Focus is on the management of the network and how to configure this effectively, and solutions based on novel mechanisms relating meta data and data quality to the way of accessing data will be developed. Secure solutions are embedded into the solution. This happens in close collaboration with the development of the database system, data processing and feature extraction, done in the other work packages, since the networking part has impact and will impact the operations of the other functionalities.

- Secure network QoS reconfiguration mechanisms
