WP4: REAL TIME ESTIMATION AND MANAGEMENT OF GRID COMPONENTS

WP4 Real Time Estimation and Management of Grid Components

In this work packages, models to perform real time estimates of the grid state is developed. These models ensures that high quality data can be provided at the required time scale and gives a certain independence of the performance of the network, although, the link to how the network is configured and data is collected is strong. The novel aspect here is exactly that the network and estimation models are developed so they support each other in regards to the requirements for the data to 1) visualization and 2) asset management.

In this work package novel algorithms for how to manage controllable assets in the grid is also developed and evaluated as a part of the feasibility study of the developed system.

Expected outcome:

  • Low computational algorithms for real time state estimate estimation of distribution grids based on a reduced number of measurements
  • Simple and accurate prediction models using on-line and historical data
  • Methods and algorithms for asset management
  • Implementation of components and interfaces
